2. Does this tool bring me closer to people or further away?
Technology should serve relationship, not replace it. If AI is reducing the time you spend with others, it’s worth asking why.
3. Am I treating AI as if it had a soul?
It’s easy to anthropomorphize a chatbot that responds naturally. The Christian faith reminds us that consciousness and the soul cannot be replicated by an algorithm, however convincing it may be.
4. Who benefits from how I use this technology?
Every tool has a direction: it can serve the common good or narrow interests. It’s worth learning how data is used and who truly benefits.
5. Does this technology make me more free or more dependent?
Christian freedom implies the ability to choose, not to be passively guided by a system. Asking about your own degree of autonomy is a spiritual exercise as much as a practical one.
